By accessing or using resumecv.app ("the Service", "we", "us", "our"), you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
2. Description of Service
resumecv.app is an AI-powered resume and CV building platform that provides:
- Resume and CV creation tools with 20+ professional templates
- AI-powered content suggestions, bullet point generation, and summary writing
- Job match analysis comparing your resume against job descriptions
- ATS (Applicant Tracking System) score analysis
- AI cover letter generation
- PDF export functionality
- CV import from existing PDF, DOCX, or text files
The Service is provided "as is" and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
3. Accounts & Registration
Account Creation
Some features require account registration. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@resumecv.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using resumecv.app, you confirm you meet this age requirement.
One Account Per Person
Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or subscription restrictions is prohibited.
4. Plans, Payments & Billing
Free Plan
The free plan includes limited resume creation (1 resume), access to basic templates, and AI tools with usage limits. Free plan resumes include a resumecv.app watermark on PDF exports.
Pro Plan
Pro plans are billed monthly ($9.99/month) or annually ($79/year). Pro features include unlimited resumes, no watermark, unlimited AI usage, access to all templates, and priority support.
Lifetime Plan
A one-time payment grants lifetime access to all Pro features as they exist at the time of purchase. Lifetime access is for individual use only and is non-transferable.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Polar.sh. We do not store your credit card information. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges for the selected billing cycle.
Refunds
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscriptions. Refund requests after 7 days are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Lifetime purchases are refundable within 14 days of purchase. Contact support@resumecv.app to request a refund.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until the period ends.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers.
5. Your Content
Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to resumecv.app, including your personal information, work history, skills, and any documents you upload.
License to Us
By using the Service, you grant resumecv.app a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell your content to third parties.
Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of content in your resumes and cover letters. resumecv.app is not responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate or misleading information in your documents.
Content Removal
You may delete your content and account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. AI-Generated Content
resumecv.app uses AI (powered by OpenAI) to generate resume content, suggestions, and analyses. Please be aware of the following:
- Review AI output: AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. Always review and verify suggestions before including them in your resume.
- No guarantee of accuracy: ATS scores and job match percentages are estimates based on available algorithms and should not be treated as absolute measures.
- Not professional advice: AI suggestions do not constitute professional career, legal, or employment advice.
- Originality: While we strive to generate original content, AI outputs may occasionally resemble other generated content. You are responsible for ensuring your resume reflects your authentic experience.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Create false or misleading resumes with fabricated credentials, degrees, or work experience
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform in bulk
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or compromise the Service's security
- Share account credentials or resell access to the Service
- Use automated tools or bots to access or interact with the Service
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
- Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users or staff
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination without refund.
8. Intellectual Property
The resumecv.app platform, including its design, templates, codebase, trademarks, and brand assets, is the intellectual property of resumecv.app. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.
Resume templates provided by the Service are licensed for personal use (creating your own resume). You may not resell or redistribute the templates themselves.
9. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
No Employment Guarantee
Using resumecv.app does not guarantee job interviews, offers, or employment outcomes. Resume effectiveness depends on many factors outside our control.
Service Availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, resumecv.app shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service. In cases of termination for cause, no refund will be issued.
You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration.
